If there is one thing that iOS isn’t known for, it’s customizability. In Apple’s eyes, that’s not a bad thing for all kinds of reasons. Some of them are valid, some perhaps less so, but none of that helps if you own an iPhone or an iPad and want to tinker with it a little. Here’s how you can customize the stock Apple emojis on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Something as simple as changing the default emojis that are available via the stock Apple keyboard may seem like a great idea, but Apple simply won’t allow it. Yes, you could probably use a third-party keyboard now that Apple allows that option, but if you want to make changes to the stock one you’re going to need to be jailbroken. If you are, then the emoji switcheroo isn’t too difficult at all.

In fact, all you’ll need is one jailbreak app and the emoji bundle of your choice. Make sure your iOS device is jailbroken. If not, then you need to go and put that right, or the rest of this isn’t going to make a lot of sense.
Here’s what you need to do.
Step 1: Launch Cydia and search for BytaFont 2.
Step 2: Install BytaFont 2. It’s a completely free tweak, so you’re good to go.
Step 3: Once it’s installed and your device has resprung, re-launch Cydia and search for ‘Emoji’.
Step 4: If you’re running iOS 8.4, make sure you choose the packages that have a ‘(D)’ marking with the name. Once you have chosen the desired emoji package you want to use, install it from Cydia.
Step 5: Once everything is downloaded, launch BytaFont 2 and tap on the ‘Swap Mode’ button at the bottom.
Emoji Guide - 1
Step 6: Now hit the Emoji button and select the package you want to enable. Your iOS device will respring.
Emoji Guide - 2
Step 7: Next up, launch any app that brings you the keyboard and switch to the emoji keyboard – you should now see all your new emojis where the stock Apple offerings usually live.
Emoji Guide - 3
Step 8: If you want to enable a different package that you’ve also downloaded, repeat steps 5 and 6 and you’re done.
If emojis are your thing and you own a jailbroken iOS device then this is a no-brainer – see if you can find any cool emojis and let us know if you do!

We have already seen a couple of jailbreak tweaks in the past that have successfully ported thewatchOS UI to iOS 8, mainly by bringing a grid of circular icons to the iPhone’s screen that can be zoomed in and out. However, if you’re more fond of the icon design than its circular style, you should check out a new theme known as Watch iOS.
This theme replaces the design of some iOS 8 npp icons with that of watchOS without applying a circular effect to them. The new app icons design look slightly flatter and more sleek in appearance.Watch iOS theme currently supports only a limited number of apps such as Clock, Maps, Settings, Instagram and Apple Watch.
watchOS2
Interestingly, this theme will not work with the likes of WinterBoard, which is pretty much the go-to tweak for theming an iOS device. You will need another tweak called Anemone installed on your device for setting up this theme. The process is no rocket science, as we show you in a complete step-by-step guide below.
Step 1: To begin, launch Cydia and head to the Sources section.
Step 2: Tap Edit and hit the Add button to enter a new repo. Add the following URL: https://anemonetheming.com/nightly/.
Step 3: Next, press Add Source and wait for Cydia to setup the new repo and reload.
Step 4: Once the new source has been added, search for Anemone in Cydia, and install it.
Step 5: Head back to the Sources section and add a second repo: http://antodev.yourepo.com/.
Step 6: Now search for Watch iOS theme and install it.
Step 7: After the theme is installed, exit Cydia and launch Anemone from your Home screen.
Step 8: Tap the Enable button located next to the Watch iOS theme visible in Anemone, and then hit Apply.

Here’s what the Watch iOS theme looks like:

After initially teasing the latest offering in the extremely popular franchise via its social media accounts, Rovio has now officially launched Angry Birds 2 for the iOS and Android platforms. Mobile owners may have seen a number of Angry Birds incarnations over the years, such as the Star Wars spin-off and the Transformers collaboration, but Angry Birds 2 is the official sequel to the biggest mobile game of all time, and promises to be “bigger, badder and birdier”.
Those devious Angry Birds are back, with Rovio attempting to reinvent the world of mobile gaming once again by bringing yet another addictive, slingshot-physics based game to the relevant app stores. As you would expect from a gaming house like Rovio, the official Angry Birds sequel brings a huge emphasis on stunning aesthetics, challenging multi-stage levels, and an improvement in the intelligence of those pesky piggies who manage to cause the tempestuous birds so much trouble. It’s basically the original Angry Birds game, but on steroids.
Angry Birds 2 Main
In addition to building on the gameplay and visual appeal of the original release, the sequel brings with it the ability to actually choose the type of bird that can be flung at those naughty little pigs. It actually makes all of the difference with being able to choose the abilities of the birds for your next shot, rather than being limited to what the game provides.
Angry Birds 2 - 1
The new multi-stage levels are also designed to test the gaming abilities of users. Stunning graphics are mixed with exotic plants, beautiful animations and plenty of hidden peril that will test gamers to the max.
Angry Birds 2 - 2
Angry Birds 2 also introduces the ability to challenge players all across the world in the ‘Arena’ to a battle of bird flinging abilities. Facebook based tournaments allow for the collection of feathers which can be then used to level-up the flock and advance even further. There are also some big, bad boss piggies to tackle on the journey. Foreman Pig, Chef Pig, and King Pig will present plenty of peril th
This week’s App Store Free App of the Week is the excellent Worms3 for iPhone and iPad, and you can download it for nothing right now.
It’s that time of week again, where Apple outs its free app of the week across the iPhone and iPad. Some truly excellent games and apps have been free as part of the offer over the years, and this week’s is no exception. For the next week, anyone with access to the App Store can download Worms3 for free.
screen520x924
Normally costing $4.99, the multiplayer, turn-based strategy title is the latest installment in a franchise that has been running for quite a number of years now, spanning game consoles, PCs and mobile platforms of many generations. Now, those wishing to play a Worms title on the latest and greatest Apple has to offer can do so without having to spend a single penny.
w3 2
Free for a week, the title sees gamers collect in-game rewards that can be used to buy in-game items as well as play online, asynchronously, against players from around the world. If online gaming isn’t your bag though, there are 30 single player missions across four different themes that should keep you entertained for a little while yet.
With the price of Worms3 presumably returning to its normal $4.99 level come the end of promotion this time next week, there has never been a better time to pick the game up, and we suggest doing exactly that before that time comes. To our knowledge the title hasn’t fallen before the $1 point to date, so this drop to free is unheard of. Who are we to look a gift worm in the mouth?

Apple’s iMessage, like so many other instant messaging solutions, sends read receipts to those who have sent you messages. The idea is that everyone can see when their messages have been read by the receiving party which should mean you no longer have to wonder whether your message was received or not. It’s a great feature, but it can have its problems.
As some people have found out, having read receipts go to the person who just sent you a message means that a clock was just started, ticking along until you reply. If you take too long, the person waiting for that reply might get annoyed, and we’ve all been sat waiting for a message that never comes – it’s irritating at the best of times, but when you know for sure your original message has been read, it’s maddening.
iPhone Messages main
If you’re jailbroken though, a tweak called SafeTexting might be able to help you out. Once installed in exchange for $1.00, the tweak will stop read receipts being sent out until you actually reply to the message. That means that until you’re ready to respond, the person who sent you the original message will never know that it was read. Where this differs from simply turning read receipts off in the iMessage settings is that the read receipt will be sent along with the next reply, giving the illusion that you are replying as soon as you read the original message. Sly, indeed.
safetexting1
While that may not be the greatest feature around though, SafeTexting also allows users to turn off the bubble (typing indicator) that appears when someone is typing inside iMessage. As a user with SafeTexting installed, you will still be able to see when incoming messages feature someone who is typing, but the other half of the conversation will have no idea when you are typing. If you like the idea of seeing when someone is typing but don’t want them to be able to see when it’s the other way around, then a dollar might not be too much to pay.
SafeTexting can be installed via the BigBoss repo in Cydia. Extra features are said to be on their way to the tweak too, though we’re not quite sure what they will be or when they will arrive.

Every week, Apple features an impressive app as its ‘App of the Week’ which is made available for free for seven days before it returns to its original price. The time has arrived again and this week’s app happens to be one with some of the best 3D photo effects you’ll ever come across on your iOS device, and if you wish to save on the $1.99 price tag that it usually carries, now is the time.
Developed by Pixite, Matter made its debut on the iOS App Store back in July 2014 and this is the first time that it has been made available for free.  Matter is a photo effects app that allows users to add realistic 3D effects to any of their photos with real-time shadows and reflections. The 3D objects range from simple geometric shapes to complex architectural structures. Additionally, you can create video loops of objects spinning and hovering and save them to your iOS device. With just a few taps of a button, you can easily and quickly share your creations across the web.
Available on app store free main
With Pixite’s incredible editor, you can add realistic 3D objects to your photos and videos, adjust everything from reflections to shadows in real-time, and then share them across the Internet. With a swath of impressive objects to place, a variety of sample backgrounds to test out, and the ability to animate your 3D models, Matter will make your photos and videos extraordinary.
Matter
You can get started by choosing any image from your device and editing it. The app is bundled with 4 object packs that are available for free, each containing a bunch of different shapes. More packs are also available in the store, which can be purchased for a few bucks or downloaded for free of charge.
Once an object is added to the screen, you can rotate it with your fingers and zoom in and out by pinching. To move them around, you’ll have to use two fingers instead. The style of the objects can also be adjusted as well as their shadow.
Matter - 2
The app comes with free background images as well that are made available by the community in the “Free for All” section. Using these images, you can freely edit them, experiment with the app’s features and share your creations.
If you haven’t tried Matter yet, I highly recommend that you grab it from the iOS App Store while it’s free. It normally costs $1.99.

Goat Simulator is easily one of the most popular gaming title in the iOS kingdom, and usually retails for $4.99 on the App Store. Well, it still does, but IGN has partnered up with the game’s developer, Coffee Stain, to offer the title for absolutely free as part of a IGN’s ‘Free Game of the Month’ initiative. We help you get the game up and running on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch without spending a dime, right here.
If you haven’t played Goat Simulator before, don’t let the ‘simulator’ bit confuse you; it is anything but that. You’ll simply be taking control of a clue-less goat and cause all kinds of destruction around the town. If you’re wondering why that’s the objective, it was either that, or walking your goat around a farm.

The promo is available in over 44 countries as of this writing, and will not require an IGN registration or account, so basically it’s free for all as long as you have a working U.S. based iTunes account. If you don’t have a U.S. iTunes account, you can follow our guide here to make one: How To Create US, UK Or Any App Store / iTunes Account Anywhere In The World. So without further ado, let’s get started with downloading Goat Simulator to your iOS device for free.
Step 1: To begin, launch Safari on your device and point the browser to IGNs Promo Page here:ign.com/prime/promo/goat-simulator-free.
Step 2: You should now see a red button, reading Get Free Game. Tap it.
Step 3: A pop-up window should open displaying the promo code, which will be used for redeeming Goat Simulator from the App Store. Tap the code, which should directly redeem your copy of the game, allowing you to download it straight away.
Alternatively, if Step 3 doesn’t work for you, head over to the App Store’s redeem section and enter the promo code there. Your download should begin shortly.

For those of you who do not reside in supported countries, a simple use a free VPN/proxy app could sort out the issue in no time. Simply connect to U.S., U.K or whichever you deem fit, visit the IGN Promo page and continue as per the instructions.
It’s not clear how long the promotion will last for, with IGN stating that “All copies of this goat simulation technology are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be sure to visit grab your free copy ASAP” before it’s too late.
